Subscriptions for new members are charged at a reduced rate with effect from 01 May 2010. The relevant rates shown below cover subscriptions until the end of the year.

DINGHY PARKING 2010

CRUISER MOORINGS & STORAGE

The basis for Mooring fees is £7.40 per foot LOA, but varies according to the position in the Haven and covers the period 01 January to 31 December 2010. Cruisers removed from club premises and the Haven during winter months, (01 January - 31 March 2010) attract a rebate of 1/12th of the annual fee for each complete month that the cruiser is removed - such removal must be notified in advance to the Chairman of the Moorings Committee.

Fees not paid by 31 January attract an administration fee of 25% (Club rule 5.5) AND LOSS OF DINGHY SPACE OR MOORING

BOAT INSURANCE

The rules of the club state:
"It is a condition of membership that members insure their boats at all times whilst on Club property whether ashore or afloat"....
Boat insurance is the sole responsibility of the owner. Please check that your boat is insured, at the relevant renewal date, before the season begins.

It is a common misapprehension that only large boats can cause damage. Although large boats may cause damage if they break free from their moorings or tie downs this will rarely cause bodily injury. The consequences of a Topper boom catching someone in the eye and blinding them are far more serious.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS

Application for membership shall be made on the appropriate form.
Applicants for all categories of membership must satisfy the management committee that they have a genuine interest in sailing matters and are willing to assist the club in pursuance of the promotion of sailing, together with all club activities and events. Rule: 4.2 (December 2008)
