Jet Skier Incidents

Please be aware of a number of incidents involving jet skiers, some occurred Easter Sunday and again on Sunday May 5th. Two jet skiers seem to take great pleasure in driving very fast towards the beach east of the club at dinghies, paddle boarders, swimmers and cruisers, turning at the last moment spraying water and causing great disruption. These potential very dangerous actions have been reported to the police and the Queen's Harbour Master who has responsibility for safety on the water in our area. If you do see anything can I please ask that you let me know and/or Rebecca Walford who is our contact at QHM, she is deputy QHM with responsibility for safety., and if you think necessary the police via 101 who will record as an anti-social behaviour incident.

Maintenance Gang

The Maintenance Gang ...

Did you know that every Thursday morning between 9.30 and 12.30 a group of club members gather for a weekly "boat maintenance morning". It's a great opportunity to support the club whilst engaging in a weekly social - even learning new skills. There is always lots to do with jobs to suit all skills and abilities (including making tea and coffee!). Typical jobs might include varnishing; mending; replacing ropes: sewing; greasing; rivotting. All are welcome!

Message from Harbour Master

Please note that the spitside gate locks will be installed with a code of 3140. This will apply to both gates.

If you have some spare time available to support this Open Event, we would really appreciate the help - both on and off the Water. In particular - we are in need of a Tally Master and also parking attendants (part of the requirement enabling us to use the grass). Please contact Richard Whiteley ( or login in to DutyMan

The club has need of a 4 Drawer Filing Cabinet - if you think you can help, please contact Dave Vines

Marathon Ladies

And Finally ..

In the last couple of weeks, HHSC was represented in two separate marathons. Christine Russ ran the London Marathon on 28 April and Katy Bradley ran the Newport Marathon in Wales on 5 May. Well done ladies!

They both feel a massive sense of achievement and would like to thank club members for their kind support and encouragement.

It's not too late to donate to Christine's cause, the 1851 Trust
