Social Events
Our facilities and fantastic views of the Solent make our club room a unique place to enjoy a drink and some food with friends whilst watching the activity on the Solent.
The well stocked bar is open Friday evenings from 19:30 and Saturday & Sunday lunchtimes from 12:30 until 15:00. Takeaway Friday takes place on the last Friday of the month. You can bring home cooked food, a takeaway from your favourite place, use the galley to heat food, or borrow a plate and you may sign in your friends and family who are not members of the club up to six times each year for this or any other occasion. We have a mini quiz challenge on Takeaway Fridays - half an hour of quizzing for teams of 6 or fewer.
Much of our social scene is in and around the sailing activities we run. Our club bar and food we offer help support this. Social events are organised by the members, for the members. In recent times we have had themed talks - round Britain sailing, youth striking out with a career in sailing and themed evening meals. If you have an idea for an event please contact rear commodore, Diane Johnson to see how the club can help with organising the event.
We also hire the club out for private events so if you have a celebratory event planned as a socials member its £15 without the bar or galley and £30 for a manned bar and use of the galley.
