About the club

If you want to be inspired by Sailing and do this in an open, relaxed environment where friends are made and long lasting memories are realised, then this could be the place for you!

We offer a diverse range of club activities suiting all ages and abilities, all year round. From small boats through to big boats, the sky is the limit.

We are proud of our RYA Sailing Training Centre status, providing also for the local community with undertaking our respect of the environment upon which we all share and enjoy. If you would like to find out more about your future opportunities at our sailing club, please browse through our website and get in touch, we would love to see you for a chat to prove to you that we can deliver what you need!

The Clubhouse, built by members, was completed and opened in 1975, with additional teaching room and boat storage in 2004 and newly refurbished bar and club room in 2009. These facilities can now accommodate our busy Sailing and Social calendar.

Our facilities downstairs include male/female changing rooms with showers and toilets. There is a separate disabled toilet and lift.Upstairs we have an attractive lounge with commanding views of the Solent. A bar is operated by members four days a week whilst volunteers produce light lunches in the "galley" each weekend. The teaching room is accessed from the lounge/kitchen area.

The club historiographer maintains the story of the club, from Lt Col Alston's first meeting in 1930 to the present day. A year-by-year summary of key events is available in the club house, or from the club historiographer .
